When sweet Jade and her family arrived at the studio everything started out just as my normal typical sessions always do. Jade was a dream baby to work with and we were just sailing right along. In the middle of the session, Jade’s mom, Michelle, came and handed me a tiny tiara and explained that everyone calls sweet Jade “Baby America”…and I couldn’t believe just WHY when Michelle told me a bit of their story! Jade’s beautiful mom, Michelle, was Mrs. America 2015! You can see a video of her crowning moment here. Shortly after winning the title, Michelle found out she was expecting baby Jade and ended up giving up her crown mid-reign. I never did get the story just why, if it was simply because she didn’t feel as if she could fulfill her duties as Mrs. America or if it was something to do with the rules of the pageant. Needless to say, Jade is the most “famous” baby I’ve ever had the privilege of photographing and it was just an absolute honor. Congratulations, E family.
