FAQ’s

Q: I’m pregnant! When should I contact you to schedule?

It is actually best to schedule your session while still pregnant to ensure my availability around your due date. Once your deposit is received I will pencil down your due date. We won’t finalize the actual date/time for the session until after I hear of baby’s birth.

Q: I just came across your website and just recently had my baby! Do you offer any sessions for last minute schedulers?

Oh, yes! Newborns are best photographed around 2 weeks of age. With that said, if baby is a month old, or any age for that matter, no worries, just contact me! We can chat about your specific situation and see what would be best for your baby. A lot of times I do have some flexibility in my calendar and can fit you in! I will try my best to accommodate you if at all possible.

Q: When do newborn sessions take place?

Newborn sessions are scheduled somewhere around 11-14 days new. Newborns this young are more tolerant of being “curled” and posed and remain sleepy for the duration of the session. Almost all of the “sleepy newborn” shots you see here on the website are of babies 2 weeks old or younger. If your baby is older than 2 weeks old, don’t worry, we can still capture beautiful photos, it will likely just take more work and effort on our part and we may need to skip some of the poses you see here.

Q: How long does a session last?

Depending on your session choice, anywhere from 1-3 hours, usually.

Q: Do I need to buy the hats and props and bring them with me?

I always tell my clients all you have to bring is your baby! 🙂 I supply all the hats, wraps, headbands, blankets, etc. Feel free, however, to bring any special heirloom or personal item along with you that you wish to be incorporated.

Q: Does your pricing include siblings and/or parents to be included in a few images?

Most of my sessions do include family and/or sibling images, but some are just of baby only. When including the family, I try and do these images at the very end of the session, so I ask that anyone that is not mom or dad and wanting to be included with the baby in some images to come the last 30 minutes of the session. The session does last a while and little ones will get bored sitting around my studio for so long. (Mine would too!) 🙂

Q: Can I request a certain pose I’ve seen on another website?

Sure! This is your session and I aim to provide my clients with what they want!

Q: Do you offer any other sessions for older children or families?

Yes I sure do! I offer sessions regularly for newborns, children, and families, as well as maternity sessions!

Q: I’m expecting twins! Is there an additional charge for multiples?

Nope! There is no additional charge!

 Q: Where is your studio?

My studio is in my hometown of Chouteau, OK which is approx. 20 minutes east of Tulsa.
