It’s so hard for me to believe sometimes that I have been photographing sweet families, children, and newborns now for nearly 13 years! I’m sure several of my early clients may remember that I actually hold a degree as a Registered Dental Hygienist and worked in the dental field for around 10 years prior to making this my full time job. Photography started out as a hobby and I just fell in love. I juggled working part time as a hygienist and as a photographer and realized I just couldn’t devote myself fully to both. It was definitely a leap of faith quitting my job at the dental office, but I have never regretted it! I absolutely LOVE what I do. There is something about capturing moments in time that is so precious to me. After family members pass, after your newborn seems to quickly turns 5 and start kindergarten, those images captured in times past help us to sort of transport back in time and remember the way things were. The way someone smelled. The way we felt. There is just something so powerful in images and that is definitely one of the main reasons why I’m so passionate about what I do. Thank you to all my amazing clients for allowing me to do what I truly feel is my calling week in and week out. If you’ve made it this far, enjoy a glimpse into darling Zoe’s newborn session. Baby Dominic made his arrival a little before his anticipated due date, but he was just ready to join the world and is doing wonderful! He had a little bit of hair, but it is so light and blonde it is hard to see unless you’re looking just right. 🙂 His sweet mama wanted darker colors for his session, so we went with moody blacks, greens, and dark blue. We did just a few on the classic white because I always LOVE the simplicity of those. He is just perfection and it was just a joy to photograph him at his recent newborn photography session here at April Stout Photography. Have a peek into his sweet session below.
